Drug Description

White or slighlty colored square-shaped pills with compact and homogeneous structure, containing a dividing line and a "BP" print on one side and number "50", with rounded lateral surface.

Citomed Composition

Active substance: Liothyronine Sodium 50 mg
Auxiliary Substances: magnesium stearate, Ludipress (lactose, povidone, crospovidone).

Tremors, headache, upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, nervousness, irritability, insomnia, excessive sweating, fever, changes in menstrual cycle in women and sensitivity to heat, heart palpitations, agitation, shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, headaches, and psychic or metabolic disorders.

Citomed Contraindications/Precautionary Measures

Not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to the drug, thyrotoxicosis, diabetes, Addison's disease, adrenal insufficiency, cachexia, pregnancy and lactation. The drug should be used with care by elderly patients. It is necessary to avoid even slight thyroid hyperfunction induced liothyronine, especially in case of insufficient blood irrigation of the heart (coronary insufficiency) in heart failure and in case of tachyarrhythmias.

Overdosage

Drastic weight loss, increased appetite, nervousness, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, sweating, tachycardia, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, tremors and fever.

Citomed Stack/Cycle
