Instructions for Genotropin Use

Before injection you will need:

1. GENOTROPIN PEN 5

2. 5 mg two-chamber cartridge of GENOTROPIN

3. 29 gauge (29 G), 30 gauge (30 G), or 31 gauge (31 G) Becton Dickinson pen needle

4. Proper disposal container for used needles

	1. Remove cap from the front of pen.
	2. Remove the front part of the pen. Pull out the empty cartridge and discard it.
	3. Press the releasing button and thus release button for injection.
	4. By turning against the arrow indicated on the injection button make the pen mechanism to be on its original position until it stops. If you look inside the pen, you can see how the piston plunges into the depths. Then turn the injection button in such a way that the label on the button and the label on pen are aligned.
	5. Remove the protective pellicle from the needle and attach it to the front of the pen.
	6. Open the package and take the cartridge. Compare the color of the pen and cartridge. For Genotropin Pen 36 the color is purple.
	7. Insert the cartridge into the front portion of the pen, so that the compartment containing the powdered growth hormone is directly contiguous to the needle.
